Legal and source policy
This page describes engineering policy. It is not legal advice; organizations should do their own review before redistributing generated bindings.
What the tool does
- Reads SDKs installed on your machine (Android SDK, Xcode) in place, using their official files and tools.
- Generates declarations, binding code, symbol names, availability metadata and links to official documentation — never copied documentation text.
- Keeps generated bindings local by default (
generatedArtifacts: local-only).
What it never does
- Download, vendor, commit or publish SDK files (jars, headers, frameworks, binaries).
- Expose hidden, non-SDK or private APIs as supported.
- Keep Clang AST dumps or Swift symbol graphs outside temporary directories.
native-api-bindgen audit-license checks a project for SDK artifacts, copied headers and documentation, foreign licenses and generated SDK-derived files, and fails on blocking findings.
